This book is designed to be a simple guide and a quick read for the riding instructor giving beginning riding lessons. This book will help you plan and organize your lessons so that you and your student can get the best results possible.
This recently edited and updated version is better than ever. Now on top of having a recap at the end of each lesson there also are goals for the rider at the beginning of each lesson. The end of the book now also contains a sample evaluation form that the instructor can use to help determine if the rider really is ready to go to the next level.
Please leave some feedback and suggestions when you review my book after reading and then check out my blog which is also listed inside. Thank you for reading and all the unexpected support with my book.

This seems like an okay guideline if you don't have the usual temperamental lesson horses. I did find tge cantering stage to be a little quick but I liked the idea if teaching the student to tack and untack by themselves by tge third kesson. I realize this was written to get rhe job done in 10 lesson which are probably an hour to an hour and a half long each but it still felt very quick in it's progressionProduct details

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Best to leave teaching (and writing about it) to professionals. Also, super classy introduction about your childhood experiences.
Not only was this poorly written, it was poorly edited with many misspellings. The content was horrible and very unrealistic.
I thought this was well written articulate article I especially liked the summery at the end of each section
Lots of great information! Loved the breakdown of lessons, lots to build on and help while making my own lesson plans!
This is an excellent reference for instructors breaking into the riding lesson industry! Well worth the purchase price as this handy little guide provides food for thought for riding instructors developing individual approaches with beginning students. After all, no one student learns the same information in the same manner so it's important to take each student's needs into account to ensure their success and repeat patronage.
Very practical and useful. I use these plans for teaching my riding classes and they work.
This book goes over many of the basics your horse needs to know in order to become a balanced member of the herd. I like a reminder of what I need to review frequently. I'm glad I bought it so I will have a copy I can revisit.
